There are no grommets on that sign just wear where the screws or attachment to the pump would have been.

Hawkike, great photo! Looks identical to mine! Good to know. Thank you so much for the photo and the help. Would you also happen to have a photo of the back? I really appreciate your help and time.

It looks like it should have had grommets to keep the fasteners off the porcelain

The back, just as found 40 years ago.
Tankar--were you referring to this sign when you said "junk"? Just wondered as it is an original and no doubt it had grommets originally.
Thanks!

Thanks! Hawkike, Thank you! The back of mine is the same as yours minus the red paint. The back of mine doesn't have any rack marks (the straight narrow lines you see across the backs of a lot of porceline signs) I was worried that may indicate it is a repro. However, again mine is identical to yours front and back (just a different batch number/IR year and without the red paint on the back).

Hi Darin, Thanks for the input. I got reading ypur posts about the repro Mobil pump plates earlier today and what to watchout for. That knowledge so valuable to younger guys like me getting in the hobby. It's hard when all this stuff was already antique and well out of service before I was even born. Helpful guys like you definitely make "doing our homework" a bit easier. Thank you. Dallas,
