Hello everyone, I live in northern Manitoba Canada and picked up this Bennett yesterday, Free! just had to move it! Ive been a collector of all things advertising and have just started getting into Gas Pumps and drink machines. Any info or pointers on where I should start with this machine would be greatly appreciated. Im not sure if I'll have it restored or just clean it up and get a globe,ad glass etc for it.
Thank you

That was a good find, it will display fine if you clean it up. Repainting would make it look nicer but, it is expensive and it will lose it's character.

Just clean and enjoy it being a survivor. I would find an earlier nozzle for it though. Nice pump.

First of all, Welcome to Oldgas. Second of all, congratulations on a acquiring a nice pump at a terrific price! I would simply clean it and put some ad glass in it. To me it looks pretty nice as is.
Regards, Jim

WoW! That's my kind of deal! Amazing patina! I like um showing their life, I'd just clean off the dirt-dust and enjoy it and it's stories! Great luck 🙌

That’s a great looking pump! I picked up a Bennett 956 a couple weeks ago, your price was a lot better than mine! I would go for a full restoration to the colours and brand of your choosing. I haven’t started taking mine apart yet but I’ll let you know how it goes once I get after it.

//////::::: I’d get the sonic off and slap some Sinclair or something else matching that color combo & leave it the original green & white patina paint. Just my 2cents Chris

Nice pump AlbertaNorthStar. I might restore the rest of the pump, but I would definitely leave the Sonic Co-op door alone--it's classic. You probably already knew this, but Pogo makes repro Canadian Co-op globes.
