After replacing nearly everything in the braking system, my '67 Mustang is back on the road. It's been sitting and waiting for me too long. I waited for calipers from a local source for nearly a month. Then I found a pair online and had them in a few days.

The photo was taken at the restored Bud's Texaco in our nearby town.

Back in the late 70's, early 80's my boyfriend and I joined a group of friends going camping and we rode in one of three of those (I think of the 67 to 69 era), in a caravan, who at times drag raced each other on the way to the Appalachian mountains. Kinda scary and stupid, but we were young and stupid like many late teenager/early twenties kids thinking that they are invincible. I remember that was a great trip.

Jim it's a beautiful car...

Nice car Jim, I'm a Chevy guy but there is a special place in my heart for Mustangs.
Enjoy and be as safe as your emotions allow. Les

I grew up as a Ford guy, but worked 40+ years in Buick, Cadillac - GMC dealer body shops. Except for a 289 Ford powered '66 Datsun pickup, all the cars I drove in the last 40 were GM. I appreciate a lot of different make cars, not just one. Always did love the '64 1/2 - 70 generation Mustangs. This Mustang was originally owned by the body shop manager at the Buick dealer where I worked. When he turned 80, he called me up and asked if I still liked his Mustang. It went home with me that day.

Sorry to disappoint, but we'll be taking the Fusion on that trip. It gets over twice the mpg and my trip advisor says the newer car is more comfy for her. wink

Well that is a bunch of bunk. I guess we will have to go do burnouts in the camaro then.

Tell the trip advisor that the added enjoyment of making the trip in the Mustang with the top down will more than offset the additional fuel cost and any comfort issues. Yeah, tell her that....then prepare to sleep on the couch. wink

I have an idea as well. Run over a few nails in the driveway just before you are getting ready to leave causing flat tires. Then you can say "well I guess we will have to take the stang"!

You guys are going to get me in trouble. I don't want to be sleeping in the Mustang on the trip.

Not a real GT. GT Lights added by original owner. I like 'em.
