I think some people were sleeping on this one. RARE! It is the small version and the last one that Morphy's sold at Iowa Gas this year brought $7,200. I have a feeling you will see it again on BOTW......

I was sleeping. Put a bid on it early on and was going to try to get it last minute but forgot about it ( thought it had more time left). Decent deal for someone.

Now that it has been sold, I would like to start a discussion about the two. I had this one on my watch list but couldn't figure out whether it was real or repo. This one the back was the right color but no grommets. Not a expert but this is the first Husky porcelain without grommets I have seen. The size was right. The seller's background was just selling old license plates. Now the one at IG was just a little different. I went back to Morphys archives and looked to refresh my memory. That one had a white edge around the sign and grommets. Also I believe the orange was a little redder. There was some discussion at IG between a few people that it was a repro but the selling price stated real. So there was a real difference between the two and I did not bid on either one. Any thoughts. Mitch

Why the eBay sign is missing its grommets can be for multiple reasons. That doesn't justify real or repo.

The white edge around sign Morphy sold is not part of the sign, simply the background color is white.

BOTH REAL

Could the reason be because they were made by different sign companies?

The $7200 included the buyers premium.

Better to be paranoid about fakes then to be selling them.
