After you finish typing. If the word is underlined with a red line. The program is telling you it is spelt wrong.

Then right click on the word and a list of similarly spelled words will show up in a drop box. Right click on the word you are trying to spell and it will automatically replace the word.

Hope that makes sense...

Thanks

Not all browsers have the spell check option. If you are using Firefox as your browser, click on the Firefox button on the upper left of your browser screen.
Choose "Options" then click on "Options" from the pop-up list.
On the "General" tab and on it the "Browsing" box, make sure the check mark is in the box next to "Check my spelling"

That will give you the red underline and right-click spelling alternates.

The emoticon faces are available on the Shop Talk "Full Reply Screen" and New Topic post boxes. Put your cursor where you want the happy face and then click on the happy face icon on the upper left of the "Post" input box. Choose the emoticon you want by clicking on it in the pop-up box.

Pretty easy.

You have to be in the full reply screen. When you are typing in the text. Above the box that you are typing in is a row of icons. The first icon is the smilies box. At the end of your sentence, click on that smilie box and pick the one you want. grin

I was going to make a comment about the word "spelt" but I decided to look it up first.

1st def. PP of the work spell
2nd def. Something to do with wheat.

One of those words that sounds incorrect, but turns out to be correct.

IF that happened, NOTHING would ever get Posted/Replied to HERE!
To use spell check you have to be fairly close to correct spelling.

I have seen members post something like "when we got to there garage" when they meant "their" but spellcheck can't correct that....it doesn't know what you really meant. Proofreading before hitting submit is your best bet.

BTW "spellcheck" in my statement above isn't underlined in red as a misspelled word. smile I didn't know that was an actual word...thought it was a trademark name?

What gets me is the ones selling MOBILE signs, they even have multiple pictures of their MOBIL sign in the posting and spell it MOBILE in the heading and throughout the post. It has happened twice in the past month alone.

More gems:

-"I have a sign to sale"

-"sign needs restored"

-"repo" or "repop" instead of "repro"

-using a ? at the end of a sentence that is not a question
