Just saying this is the only site where I have been requested by the seller to send payment as "gift" . Therefore being a new by I assumed that this was the norm sometime here.Bought and sold many Items eBay, craigs ,vendors and no one ever requested that I do this before.Glad to see this clarified.

Wanted TEXACO related items & SUNOCO related items .Signs -Globes et'c. Oil Cans - Grease cans .

I for one am sick of the fee's that get added onto everything associated with EBay and Paypal. I don't care how much it is the fees they are charging for final price, shipping, receiving funds into your account, taking funds from your account. Then you take it to the shipper for another highway robbery to send...

It's too much...

Now we have a 18 percent commission on on line auctions becoming standard, really where does it stop?

Couldn't agree more Jim, and I applaud your decision to add the "no gift" to the for sale forum. Paypal is performing a service and should be paid, just like Visa. I just wish someone would come along and do it for 1% instead of 2 or 3 smile Other payment options still exist, but you pay for the speed, convenience and security of PayPal or visa. Sellers can specify up front what payments they accept, and should absorb costs and price items accordingly. Thanks for making it right in my book Jim.
