The Esso sign, pole, and air meters with globes, WOW. Would love to have been there to see that or just have a sign and pole like that.

He has a belt hooked to the model T wheel to run the gas pump. Whatever it is being used to jack the car up under the running board- I don't know. Would have been interesting if it slipped off.

A few I found. Interesting thing about the second picture. The main sign has the straight arrow yet it also has the diamond bumped out around the "S" & "O". From what I've been able to teach myself about the Sunoco logo, this is VERY rare situation and I think could only happen during a transition of the logo. If you look at the back of the truck, this is how the straight arrow configuration of the logo usually looks with the diamond edges running straight through. If you study Sunoco oil cans, the bumped out diamond doens't happen until 1961-62. This picture was dated 1951. So I don't understand this sign/picture. Still much to learn!!!!!
