HHhhmmmm? It kinda looks like a white crown that someone brush painted blue. I recently bought an all green crown at a farm auction and it was a painted over gold crown. It took a lot of hours to get all the paint off and make it look decent though! I wouldn't ever do it again! If it has a metal screw on base, its probably a painted crown. If it has a glass flange base, its a reproduction/fantasy.

I see what you're looking at? Maybe it was one of those translucent ones painted a blue color? It sure looks like there is paint on it.

Translucent Blue. I've seen them in translucent Red, Amber, Clear, Green, Yellow & now Blue. Maybe it was another University/College Project! Yup, add purple/plum colore too. I believe they were made By Petroleum Artifacts, OK. They werent expensive at the time (125.00-200.00 in 90's?) I had one years ago in purple and sold it on ebay for 400.00. You just never know what someone will pay who doesnt know...I thought they were neat at one time too, now not so much. Someone sell me an original Grey Crown. Kim

Maybe, Papa SMURF had a Standard Oil station, hidden in the forest at Smurfville ??? and did you know Smurfs are only 3 apples tall ! so using that ratio if the globe is tallier than say 1/2 of an apple then I think it's fake.
