New to the website. Been collecting for a few months. I have an opportunity to purchase one of these. A friend came across these. From an older gentleman that used to work for Red Giant Oil in Council Bluffs, IA. 8 inches dia., good shelving, some "fish eyes" on the back. No scratches, one has a small chip on edge. These look authentic to me. Mint(?) condition. Would anyone have an idea what the worth of each is. Maybe a little history if that is allowed here. Thank you.

These are the small ethyl sign which were put on the gas pumps with caulk or double sided tape. I have one of these which I removed from a gas pump. I would value them around $40 each.

With that wording,PCM's greenbook dates them from 1942-1964.Interesting.I didn't know they made a"stick-on"in 8".The one I have is the 3"version.Wasn't the 3" version made for Gulf pumps?

As to value I would go a little higher,$75,simply because the "stick-on"hasn't been popped to my knowledge.

Is that enough history?Actually,I don't know if we can discuss it under this forum or not.Sorry about that if I wasn't supposed to answer a question.

I think the ones pictured are 3 inch ones. 8 inchers have mounting holes.

Hi OldIron. I think a "little history" with the value is OK. It may be helpful in determining values.
