The skin on my pump does not have the holes in it for the data plate, packing plate, Underwriters tag or for the Contains Lead sign. I don't see where the holes were welded and the paint colors match on both skins (yellow, orange and red). The skins appear to be original to the pump.

It has holes on the upper part of the skin on the pump handle side that is 12.75 wide and 4.25 high. Just above the hole for the pump handle the holes and 6" wide and 7.5" high.

So did all Wayne pumps have data plates?

Thanks

OG, Since none of the experts have answered and no one else offered an opinion I'll give you my thoughts.

I won't say they all did but every one I have owned did.

Been messing with these since late 70's and there have been more than a few 615s in that span. Doesn't make me an expert. Just a guy with a lot of years of experience and even that probably don't mean nuthin'.

You don't mention if the skins are on or off the pump. If off, can you see any remnants of rivets on the inside? Just wondering if they got sheared off and painted over.

Pictures would help too.

Good luck.

Here are some pictures of the inside of the skin with the existing holes circled. I don't see any repairs or other holes on this one or the other skin.

I agree, I have always had them on every one I have owned.

Thanks, Phil
