Heat wave coming in today and it might hit around 30 degrees. Going to see a couple of the WW2 vet's today. The young one is 94 and was fighter pilot in the Pacific. A survivor of The Lost Squadron, flew the Corsair off the ships and a member of the Amer Legion since 1946. The other one turns 95 today and was in Europe and a member of The Liberators, tank outfit, also a long time Legion member. He donated $1000 to a new veteran's memorial we are building in this little town of Goodman WI. The new memorial will be built this spring and hope to have it done by Memorial Day. HAGD

Wow Terry... I just finished a book about that talked about the Lost Squadron - it mentions just about every pilot so I may recognize the name. Pass along my thanks for his service.

Morning all! Nice day here today and will be about 30 today!
Sounds like a great time, being able to talk with those fellows, and the Memorial is well deserved!
I'm going to try and get some outside chores done today while the temps hold!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Well the pineapple express came through last nite--sort of,nothing like the predictions but we picked up about one and a half inches of rain here on the edge of Sacramento after the driest Jan.on record. We are grateful for that and hope it keeps coming.

The pineapple express should move south. Southern BC is being inundated with rain and northern coastal BC has snow to the second story in a record breaking snow fall. Now if that would just go south to California everyone would be happy!I am visiting southern Utah and its fantastic here. Have a great day all.

His name is Ken Gunderson and unlike a lot of these guys he talks a lot about the war. Not in a bragging way but very informative and matter of fact like. What's the book you have?

So warm this weekend in BC Canada and Washington state. Some areas in Washington experienced flooding while in BC was plenty of rain and now a second ski hill has announced they are closing for the season.
Might be the warmest winter in my 11 years living in the area.
