Southern Oklahoma is a great place to visit if you like lakes and outdoors unfortunately it's a bad time of year for that. The above suggestions are all good ones just not anywhere near Ardmore. Where are you flying in to or are you driving? Oklahoma City is the closest place with a large variety of activities.

I have spent days exploring this great State. There are many small town museums pertaining to oil exploration. The original Capital City of Oklahoma was Guthrie. There is a terrific Territorial Museum there along with a Publishing Museum. The city has a great selection of Victorian architecture as well. You can pick up old stretches of Route 66 in that area and take a drive back in time. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Antique shops are hit and miss. Theres a guy in Tulsa who advertises a lot of oil and gas on Craigslist 2 1/2 hours northeast of okc.
I'm with Ron Cowboy hall is great also there are boat rides on the riverwalk at Bricktown in Okc and lot of resteraunts, pubs, and stuff.
There's even a zipline across the river there.

Elk City and Weatherford have modest route 66 museums.

Philbrook and Gilcrease in Tulsa are renowned art museums.

Conoco museum and Marland Mansion in Ponca City

Phillips 66 museum and Woolaroc in Bartlesville.

I would be careful engaging with the gentleman from Tulsa who often list several rough signs on Craigslist.

Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.
