These are the support pedastels from an old country elevator. They came in many different sizes and shapes, depending on the manufacturer. These are 54 inches tall, with a 7 inch base and a 6 inch top! The bases have a couple holes where they were attached to the floor and they have a molded bracket about half way up the column. The top is perfect to attach a globe ring for a display pedastel, or they could be used as support columns for a bench or a decorative support to display your favorite sign in! There are so many different uses for these columns, that the list is only as long as your imagination! Both the top area and the bottom area have some decorative gold scrolling on the fluted areas! The finish is completely original, and this is the nicest set that I've ever been able to get my hands on! They are becoming very hard to find with the destruction of all the old elevators in the small towns! $400 for the pair--delivered to Iowa Gas!

I haven't figured that out either, but had to have them. Will figure that out when I get them home.

I'm going to post some more common looking ones that are shorter, in a bit!
