Wondering what anyone might know about a base for a twin Wayne 60 / model 65? I see it in Jacks book and there is one on eBay now (item 331162173417). What are the odds of turning another one up, or I guess if you had one you could easily make another. Anyone have one/build one? Thanks

I.M.O. cast iron bases are usually the easiest part to find. Even on a pump left outside in the elements and allowed to rot away the base would survive in pretty good condition.

Having said that, I think it'll take a bit of effort to find the other half of this base. Pretty rare piece.

Thanks for input, if you have the bases and a couple 60s - I would think the center cabinet is something that could be built and made to look close to an original? Doesn't look too complicated? Hard to judge from the photo?

If at last resort, you could recast for they look pretty much identical. Leaving room or adding on for the shrinkage.

Typical Shrinkage for Cast Iron is 1/8" per ft, Alum is 3/16" per ft.
Build you original part up outside w/ Bondo before casting.

As I recall, Miles Little in North Carolina is (was) the expert in converting 60s into 65s. I believe he produced the bases also. He is not a member here but I may have his number if it helps.
