What kind of pole fits this Conoco Base? The hole is just under 3" A 2 1/2" Black pipe won't fit, The picture shows a 2" Black pipe its too loose it has almost a 1/4 gap all around. Is that how they were? Thanks Mike

in our trade they make a 2 7/8 galv pipe comes in sch-20-and heavy sch 40

comes in 18 ft - 21 ft--and 24 ft-- contact your local fence company

I think that takes a fluted pole, I've seen the early open 42" conoco signs on them.I don't think the set screws belong there. Dave.

I've also seen these bases used to hold pylon light poles.

We used 2 7/8 well drill pipe from scrap yard to make stand for our cash register and the bolt holes were original

Oh how I remember, after buying out a bulk plant that used to be Conoco, going out in a field and finding these bases just thrown out there to rust.
