Anybody familiar with the Hi-Plus brand? I recently acquired a neat Hi-Plus Premium Gasoline pump sign (9 3/4") but nobody seems to know any history on the company. Any help is appreciated. Paul

HELLO PABLO PAUL, WELCOME TO OLDGAS.COM. I'VE BEEN COLLECTING FOR JUST OVER 20 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN THE BRAND OR LOGO BEFORE. VERY INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST! IT MIGHT BE A SMALL SPIN-OFF REGIONAL TYPE COMPANY SELLING A CHEAPER LOWER GRADE GAS. SHOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT THE OTHER HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS BRAND. THANKS FOR SHARING!

Hi-Plus might be the grade of gasoline, not the brand name. Either way its probably from an independant.

Thanks for your responses. On the sign in very small letters under Hi-Plus is the words "Our Own Trademark". Therefore, I believe Hi-Plus is the gas brand not a grade of gasoline. My guess it was a small regional independent. Hopefully, someone out there may know something about the company. Paul

I also think that it could probably be a grade of gas rather that the company brand. While they couldn't trademark "premium" they could have trademarked Hi-Plus.
Anybody remember this one?

Thanks, Jim. I thought I was following the instructions for posting an image but it didn't work. Paul

Hey is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of International Harvestor? I realize it's different, but somehow, it feels familiar.

Hey Pablo, what you have there is a Sears-Allstate Pump Plate. Here's a pic of one from an old Autopia Auction Catalog dated June 1997.

Thanks, Mark!! That's it alright. So, I guess it's a pretty rare sign. However, I think I'd rather have that one with the Allstate logo. Have a good one! Paul
