Just picked this lubster up. Anybody help me with the age. It's a Erie A39. Also looking to restore it. What color scheme would Chevron have had on it in '56. Thanks, Kurt

The A39 dates from around 1938. It sits on a 30 gallon tank. The A39 is the model number of the pump, not the tank.
I have a color picture of the pump available, email me if interested, jhsim@petrocollect.com
The picture shows the unit in red, very few of these were painted to company colors, so it is usually up to you on how you want to paint it.

Ones I've had that were Chevron, tanks were RED, BLUE or WHITE, pumps were all BLUE. It's yours, paint it to Please Yourself.
