The recent questionable signs on eBay, misspelled porcelain, lack of maker's mark and zero feedback is enough to scare me off.

What do you all think?

A very close match to my original. But I'd be scared off by zero feedback as well.

Thanks for reply, does your original have Walker stamp at bottom?

I am at work and only can't see it well in the picture I have.

I'll try to remember to look tonight and take a bitter picture.

I sent him a message asking about a makers mark. The misspelling of porcelain doesn't phase me. Lots of legit auctions have misspelled words.

Are the known/suspect signs double sided like this one? This sign looks good to me but I don't own nor have I inspected auto signs closely at shows or auctions.

And people misspell porcelain on here all the time, lol! That certainly wouldn't make or break a deal in my world.

maybe it's ok, I'm not sure? Not calling it out as bad - just raising the question. The full neon Chevy Super Service that just sold yesterday has me doubting things I guess??? If others would chime in on their 42" automotive signs - it seems to me all of the GM division signs I've had were made by Walker & Co in Detroit and stamped as such at the bottom. Entirely possible there were others though.

With the exception of the missing makers mark, the sign looks just like mine. I've had several through the years, and I'm sure mine were made by Walker. I'd have to have it in my hands to be 100% sure, but it looks okay.

Walker did many of these type as I've seen it on others, not just GM brands either.

The seller wrote this back to me.

"Honestly I never looked.. it is in my bedroom so I will look at it. It came off of a dealership in Pontiac Michigan that I worked at in the 60”s. I know it is an original. I will check on it asap."

The seller wrote back and checked his sign.... it's also a Walker. So looks legit.
