To begin with for those who don't know, and for those who know me on the Model A Ford website, Fordbarn, I am a purist at heart.

I like the original look of anything I restore.

With that being said, I am going to paint my Gilbarco 96C2 Gaspump Standard Red (or close to it)...My question then if the front, back and side skins are painted "Standard Red", what then were the three "grayish" items, oposite the handle side, painted?

If they were originally nickel or chrome plated, it could of fooled me as there was absolutly no signs of any plating what-so-ever on these parts.

Were they painted red along with the skins or left natural or painted another color?

I am sorry but I do not know the correct names for these three parts...(Cap that hides the outside hose connection to the manifold; Insert for which the nozzel fits into when hung on the pump; and the part for which the nozzel handel rests).

Thanks.
