That doesn't look to bad. All you need is a rear quarter panel and rear bumper. Probably straighten the rest. Start looking on ebay or buy a Hemmings magazine and find some parts. Mitch

Yeah,it is fixable, but the frame is bent pretty good, the trunk floor is really folded up and the rear body mount on the left rear is torn right off and a few other bends in it. That and what I have to do to restore it, I don't know, after working on this stuff all day, it sometimes is hard to get motivated to do it again for another 8 hours. All the people involved in this car has given me the permission to get something else with whatever I get out of it and what I have already have saved up for restoring it. They already have about 3 different cars lined up for me, and I am keeping the car too. So we'll see what happens.
I tell ya though, this old girl faired way better than the kid's Pontiac G5. It tore the right front right off of that thing.

Ha,ha,Kim... Actually, it's deemed a total loss, and here in Saskatchewan, after that,if it were to get fixed, it has to go thru 2 saftey inspections, one mechanical and one structral integredy, so I would have to do all the floor pans and the front fenders, weatherstrips and seals, go over the whole vehicle before it go back on the road,so that is why I may just look for something thats all ready to go.

Frames can be straightened, floor pans replaced, quarters and trunk fixed. If you don't want to tackle the hassle of the work or of 2 inspections find a local technical school program that might take on the repairs as a class project.

Ken, my friend Bob Owens @ Owens Salvage in Texas has a really nice 61 Impala 4dr flat top...old lady car, sat in a garage till the roof almost caved in, was vandalized(windows broken out) It's complete(minus steering wheel), nearly rust free, appears to be original paint.....your car has everything to fix it....you might give him a call at 800 798 2581.There's a couple pics of it on his facebook page(Owens Salvage Co Inc) Might be a logistical nightmare, TX to CD, but he knows some transporters. Good luck with it---I hate seeing old cars go, cause when they're gone, they're gone.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and comments, I really do appreciate them. As far as the old girl goes, I'm keeping her,so she's not going anywhere soon, mostly because of what the whole situation of getting her means to me.I am going to get another set of wheels, this one will be stored probably out at my brother's acreage and something will come of her eventually, I can't leave her alone.

Ken, Just be glad you weren't driving an Import or you'd be complaining about your Poor Old Body, IF you survived!
