I just picked up an old Champion drill press, the spokes on the hand wheel have been broken. Can anybody here, reproduce these, or refer somebody who can?
If I can get these made in cast iron, I can put this back together.
Anything Chevron I'd rather be flying.....

I just picked up one of those at an auction two days ago. I will sell it to you for half of what the Ebay one is. Probably cheaper than getting a new wheel cast! Might consider selling the wheel and scrapping the rest of mine?

Thanks Jim. I need the wheel, and the link that goes to the top cog wheel... We might be able to work something out here. Give me a day or so, to play with this thing, and I'll get back with you.

Thunder, Go to this website http://www.owwm.org/It is for old woodworking and metalworking machines (like your drill press). If you register it has a buy and sell section. There are frequent discussions on having items recast. Good Luck! Tom

Thunder
Do you have a name or any numbers on yours. I have several out back. I may go out there this weekend if the snow stops.
Looking for Canadian Imperial and Canadian North Star. John Neilsen

When I was into gumball/peanut machines I used Lee Rock Foundry in Ontario, CA. The gentleman that I dealt with was a super guy....Arlen Downs. He would cast Aluminum, brass or gray iron. I am told that he has sold the business but you may give them a try. You never know.A lot of guys cast brass and aluminum but not many do cast iron...melting point is so high and it is costly.
