I would be interested in seeing photos of anything spray paint related that is in your collection.....I also love photos of old hardware stores and their stock (though slightly biased towards paint stock)

This post shows for me that almost any collectible makes a nice display when they are arranged nicely and accompanied by the signs and displays of the same genre. I didn't know people collected spray cans! People really do collect everything. Nice display.

That is cool! I always thought a leaking oil can would stink but a leaking spray can would suck! LOL
You have any spray cans from Mobilgas? I have a red i think.

Scott....I always get the question about huffing. I actualy choose to wear a respirator any time I am working on a large scale project. I have inhaled my fair share of aerosol, and it does not feel good. Don't know why people would do it on purpose...

I have one can of Mobil I think its Valkote? I also have some Varsity and DeBois cans which were sold by Pep Boys (Made by Plasti-Kote) along with plenty of auto related cans.


BTW I would like to find a way to empty the cans without ruining them. Tought because they are still pressurized. For now I enter the garage at least once every couple months to the smell of leaking aerosol. Always hoping it has not leaked onto other cans....than I play the game of find the leak....

I'm getting "high" just looking at your collection. Brings back so many lost memories. Haha

Very Cool! I love spray paint! That is the coolest collection I have seen on here in a while.

Ive seen it all now. As DW said, this does prove that almost everything can be collected and look pretty cool. My wife would kill me. "Youre collecting WHAT now?"

wanted to post here, so I can find it later.

I got a couple old cans from a cleanout last year. look pretty old, but didn't know if they were collectable or not. I'll check if I still have them when I go out today.

That would be great, can't wait to see them...

that's quite a bit dangerous to own so much spray can if they're still presurized, one match cracked and the whole house disappeared !

by the way I use Montana spray paint, it's used by graffiti artists but the result on small items is great, it takes 5 minutes to dry and cost me 3 $ a can

Only dangerous if they all leaked at once....plus they are not all full

only found one that didn't make the trash.
not in great shape but looks better in person than it does in pic.

probably not nice enough for your collection but it never hurts to post.
