30 x 40" 2-sided, wood Fisk tire sign. I need to get an appraisal -- any suggestions of whom to contact?

Is it yellow and blue with sand paint?

If it is the one I'm thinking of it's a real cool sign.

Pictures attached. Yellow and blue with glass beads on blue lettering. What is sand paint? I have good pictures but cannot get them to attach.

Wow! That is nice! I love the old FISK signs. Probably from the 20's and in fairly good shape.

$600-$1,200 depending on who's buying.

I think DB is in the price range for that sign. If that was mine it would be a keeper smile

The "crushed up glass" is basically just colored sand. It made the sign reflective when headlights shown on it. It was common on wooden signs in the 20's.

Be very careful if you try to clean it, don't hose it or use a course brush. A fine brush and little spray bottle of water will help some. The sand rubs off very easy.

If both side looked like side one I think you could get 2500$ + for it? In the present conition I'd say closer to the 1500$ range.

Teriart, just wondering if you ever sold this Fisk sign? I'm considering parting with the one that I've owned for over 20 years. Can you email me at: oltoydoc@vintagegas.com Thanks, Don
