This is advertised in a upcoming local sale, looks like someone cut the cylinder in half. Could it somehow be fused back together?

I bought a cylinder that was used in the same manner, but for a round table that was taller. Luckily they didn't cut it. Apparently this was a common practice?

I have a short one that was used for a coffee table like above, other one got busted. Good for making a Short cyl. visible.
Should be titled OLD USE for a Cyl.! IF they only knew then what they are worth Today.
