When we had the debate about a year ago, wether a FISK sign on ebay was original or not, I investigated its originality. I came to talk with one of Swedens more knowledgable persons when it comes to porcelain signs. He gave us information about the Danish FISK sign, and also told me he was writing a book about Swedish signs.
I sent him some photos of my signs and he agreed to publish some of them.
The book has come out and I picked up my book at the authors home two days ago.
The man is named Peter Pluntky and he is a former collector of toys, he lectures about signs, he collects old bicycles, rides old Indian motorcycles and of course collect Porcelain signs.
He owns 600+ signs and display 150 in his apartement.
His book contains pictures of, and year of mfg as well as manufacturer (if known) of 1100 Swedish porcelain- and 800 tin signs from the 1890s to the 1960s.
The book itself is a bit unique as it is delivered in a linen clad "box" and the cover is made of tin.
The book har mootre than 300 pages and also cover different techniques, and most everything else about the signs.
Here are some pictures and a link to Peters homepage
