Trying to find out more about this bicycle, when it was made?? Number on bottom of the
crank is D58084

Well I looked up number on a site for the 60's the number didn't seem to work for 60's schwinn bikes and. doesn't look like it ever had a tank. and the sprocket I think
is from earlier bikes ??

I think you can narrow it down to a Schwinn, as the badge in front matches Schwinn. Those emblems are for sale on ebay. If you look at Schwinn bikes sold (worthpoint.com, dont need an account to see pics), seems to match up with 60s bikes generally. You could probably narrow it down further comparing pictures of your bike with ones sold at worthpoint. I dont know enough about bikes to comment on the sprocket.
