I picked up a very rare can wondering if anyone has had luck removing paint specs. off it and if so what did you use. Thanks

I use Citristrip that comes in a spray can. I’ve used it on oil based and latex paint with great results. Not sure how it would react with the original paint on the can though…might try some on a Q tip…

I would try some mineral spirts (sometimes labeled "paint thinner" in the big box stores), Multiple applications, using a q-tip, without much rubbing action. That might soften what could be the oil-based paint blob, while not affecting the graphics on the can. John

We'd be interested in buying either one as is.
