Greetings from the U.K. On of th early pumps used in the U.K. was the G&B T8. These were imported from the States in Pratt’s Orange livery (I believe part of Standard Oil). The globe towers had a 7 inch fitting, and I’m wondering if the USA pumps were 7 inch also, or smaller to fit the usual 6 inch globe. I don’t think the Pratts brand was used in the States, but perhaps you know better?

Goodmorning Trevor, It has been my experience that Standard Oil used 7" fitters on all of their units. Of course, I'm probably wrong, but after 30 years of restoring pumps, it is what I've seen? As far as I know, again from experience, the majority used 6" throughout. Regards, Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Trevor,
All T8's came with a 7" fitter here in the US.
