Sure. You can choose different color themes by pulling down the "Style Chooser" menu just below the "Hop To" forum section jump menu near the bottom of most all forum pages. See screenshot picture.
Try out "UBBT77 - Dark" for a dark background forum theme.
On battery powered mobile devices, a dark theme can make your battery last longer and save on eye strain.
