This clock-faced Tokheim 36 is on the property of a friend. Her father-in-law liked junk and this was there when she moved in. It has one side, one door, no top, no lower guts and who knows what else it lacks. I'd like to bring it home. If she decides to let it go, what shall I offer her? Thanks ahead of time. - Jack J.

It's a model 36B. $500 would be a more than fair price. I'm seeing double that in parts.

Tom.

Thanks Randy and Tom. That's quite a spread on value. It's been yard art for many years and that's what I'd do with it. I would like to get enough pieces so it looked closer to whole and better sealed up to the elements. Randy, you're right, the emblem on the front does look like a Signal emblem. I wonder what it says above the emblem? Any other value ideas? Thanks - Jack J.

Wide range of perceived value will undoubtedly surface, but for me "yard art" seems like a good option. It allows the "Far from Good": and "Good from Far" theme to create a time to reflect on the past. You may have more of a donor pump there that you could take a few parts from and add those to the partner pump for a more complete example. Enjoy the journey.

I agree. The door and bezel around the window are worth $200, the base is worth close to $200, the side panel with two pieces of trim is worth close to $200. Plus the VR and the frame itself along with the top plate. I would say the retail value is worth around $600-700. If you got it for $400-500, I’d say you did good.

I have both side panels for that pump, they are kind of rough, but solid. They would match that pump good.

If you do buy it, make sure you look real hard for the top or any other pieces. Looks like there is a decent amount of 'junk' there. Parts could be in or under a barrel... who knows - but look hard. It'd be nice to find the top somewhere in the yard. Not anything you probably don't already know, but I've found stuff in the weirdest places.

Good Advice, speedracer. I asked her if there were other parts and she said no ... but why would I believe that. There are a lot of places stuff could hide. I will look very carefully. - Jack J.
