Picked up a WAYNE 70 yesterday. It's the one with pot medal trim. Anyone have any info on how to clean/remove all the
pot marks or roughness on the trim???. Is sanding about the only answer??> thanks Warren

You can sand and paint them. They were originally chrome plated. Re-chroming them can be expensive but if you sand out all the pits and get them ready for plating it will be cheaper. Another option is to convert it to stainless trim. Is yours a big window or a small window? If small they did not do stainless in the small window bezel.

Matt...Thanks for your input...It has the small window, and no stainless is available...I'm in no hurry, so I will sand and prime and paint with chrome-aluminum.
thanks again....

The small window is cool. I recently got one but it was missing a door. I got a door this past Friday but it was bare. I need a small bezel and the pieces that go on the back side.

Craig is right, Warren. Pot metal will shine up surprisingly well. And if you clear coat it the shine will stick around. Won’t look as bright as chrome, of course, but pretty dang good.
