Hello Everyone!

Introduced this barrel in the Value Question forum and have so far received no replies. Hard to place a value on it because so far no other specimen has been produced that we are aware of. It's a barn find from an estate that hadn't been touched since the 50's, so authenticity is not in question at all. I have more pictures available upon request.

iankilgore79@yahoo.com

Asking $15k OBO. PM/email me for offers, questions or picture requests. Item is located in Senatobia, MS for inspection and pickup. Delivery is a possibility if interested.

Thanks!
Ian Kilgore

A Google search shows an invoice from 24 Oct 1918 from the Gulf Refining company of New Orleans La. The price for 51 gallons of medium castor machine oil at that time was $13.00.
Cool barrel

Cool barrel

A barrel of crude oil right now, per stock market, is $58 a barrel (42 gallons). $13 per barrel seems expensive in 1918, but it was processed of course.
