I have a couple of decal/stickers on my pump doors that I was hoping to save. I am going to sandblast the doors and have it repainted but don't want to lose the stickers Anyone know how to remove stickers or decals in a way that saves them?

Heat gun will soften them to remove. If you want to save them , heat and work underside with a razor blade. but I doubt you will save them for reuse. Dave

In my experience, you can successfully remove a decal maybe 1 in 1,000 times.
Even less if it's a water transfer.
Plan on purchasing new decals - or leave everything the way it is.
Later . . .

Apply masking tape over the decals and have the blaster to blast around them. Leave tape on through the paint process. When done, simply remove the masking tape and they are saved.

Don't restore it. Find another pump to restore.
Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.

Thanks everyone. Should clarify that I am not looking to reuse them, but rather thinking of having one of them used to make a copy while the other I may keep to frame it.
The one I am looking to copy definitely does not have anyone making them as an aftermarket item.

Can you post a pic of what you have? Helps to see exactly what condition the decal and metal is in.

So what i am looking to do is the Shell decal (which is probably fairly easy to get a repro) but also the small, green and white tax sticker. That is something unique to Ontario here and not likely floating around in NOS or available as a repro

Take a straight on photo of the tax sticker and take dimensions.
I can replicate it from that info.
