Not sure if this was talked about or not...wasn't sure which category to put it on...I just bought a new Texaco collectibles price guide for oil cans off of eBay. Jacob Hemed put it together. I should have mine tomorrow and am anxious to read it. Just wanted to let folks know.

So, I went through the book and it is very well done. I learned a few things and that's always good. Versions of a Texaco Outboard can, the later versions of the airplane/jet oil, etc. And the phots are very well done. Not trying to be nit-picky.....There are some cans missing from the book and some different versions of items and a couple of dates I think are wrong. There are more glass cylinder bottles than what he has, their are a couple of roofing material cans not listed and a different version of the Car Beauty kit. He says it is from the 50s, the items have the old logo, but part of the carboard display has the hexagon sign and that is from the 60s. I am not sure I agree with some of his prices...think they are a bit high....but, on any given day...who knows. I think it is very well done (I would hate to take on the undertaking of it) puts most of the cans into one location and sorted by category.....some nice old ads and it is worth having on your shelf. Thumbs up.....
