That atlas is an interesting piece as it says 49 states...so it came out after January 3, 59 and the next edition would probably have said 50 states as Hawaii came in as a state August 21, 59. So, that would have been out for less than a year.....

for being '59 that is the year the reg. trademark was changed too the circle R & the Texas Company became Texaco Inc. .. ...  don't see any "company name" on pictures posted by Chad..

I have the same 49 state Texaco road atlas with a different than one posted as it does not have the 25 cent price on the cover. I see the version you posted all the time.
