Pick this sign up today it's 48 by 31, and 3/16 inch thick aluminum heavy duty silk screened minor paint loss, haven't cleaned it yet.

Any ideas on age and value?
Badge on uniform says United States Air Force Recruiting.

Never seen one like this before...

Any information appreciated!

Thx

The US Air Force was formed in 1947, so that date or later for sure.

I apologize in advance for the small pic size, but this is a porcelain sign from I would guess the late 1940's. Your metal sign, just judging from the artwork, was maybe made in the early 1970's? I have never seen it before, its a neat piece. Good find.

Thanks guys, appreciate the education!

Any idea on value? If it was a gas/auto sign, that would be in my wheelhouse.

But a US armed forces sign...that's another story!

Any idea on value? It's a nice, big, 4 foot by almost 3 foot sign. Not sure if that's good or bad...!

The font looks like the old Brady Bunch font to me, which would put the age of the sign around 1969-1974

thanks!

The sign looks typical for late 50s/60s era Air Force as it's art drawn style and blue uniform are typical for that timeframe.

From my experience given condition/subject/age it's not going to bring more than about $80-$100.

Recruiting signs typically gain value with the more iconic imagery like Uncle Sam. By the late 60's full photo-quality images were being used for all branches of service to appeal to the young men.
