Bought this Self Service sign at the MOKAN sign swapmeet.
The seller thought it might have been from an old Cities Service station, based on the color scheme. Sorry about the squished pic, it makes the sign look shorter than it actually is.
Sign is pretty big, about 10' long and 2.5' or so in height.
Lettering is great, as it is three dimensional and pushed out from the flat part of the sign.
Porcelain with nice gloss still on it, labeled Kolux Kalamazoo MI.
The green color is absolutely gorgeous in person, I have never seen that shade of green before.
Does anyone recognize the sign, or where it might have come from?
Any idea as to what brand of service station it may have come from?
The letters are definitely art deco period, so late 1920's/early 1930's is the age I am guessing?
