I realize that Oldgas is not condoning this, but at the top of the first page in the general discussion area there is a "Right now on Ebay" box with 4 pictures in it.
At this time the top left pic is a Husky pump plate that you can do a buy it now for $279 from ebay seller treasureray.

Is there any way to filter out the crooks in this kind of situation?

I do try to filter out fake items sold by crooked sellers, but some are able to slip into the eBay auctions that are shown dynamically on this site. Everyone has to keep their guard up, no matter the sales venue. Especially from a seller like treasureray.
