Looks like one of the best yet, as I saw more items in this one that I would like to own, than any of the others and I have bought items from each of them.

Less than a month away from the auction. I have 90% of the items on display at Morphy's office. This will be the most items that we have sold in a two day auction.

We will also have by auction day our August 27 petroliana auction items on display.

Yeah, some great items!! But 22% just makes my stomach turn!! I hate giving away hard earned money!! I have no problem paying 10 or even 15%, but 22% is BS. Buy a couple nice items and your putting $1000 plus easy in Morphys pockets. And then there's shipping and packaging.
Yah, I know, factor it into your bid point. But that is a BS position. When it comes down to it, and you want the item, that is out the window. If I pay $800 for a item on Oldgas or Craigslist or... with no premium, that same item is going to cost that same amount in an auction. Plus the premium.
Personally, I don't think the 22% is based on a legitimate business plan, it's based on a "what can we get out of them" philosophy.
Oh well, what can you do except hit the bid button and write the check!! And they know it!!
