Friend of mine just had a "barn find" of this double sided porcelain sign. I told him I would try to give him some idea of value. Porcelain is in good condition, there is at least one small rust spot. And it looks like whoever owned it previously made a metal light holder for it. I assume that is not original. Can someone help with idea of value? I found one that sold by Barrett-Jackson back in 2011 for $6000. Looked to be in excellent condition.

Lighted hood is original to the sign and the sign looks like it will clean up nicely.

Will probably get it and at least wash it up to see how it looks. I am surprised the lighted hood is original, have only seen the signs themselves for sale online. Never have seen the hood. Not that I have much experience with these!

I was watching a rerun of american pickers and they found the same sign. The Studebaker expert said that sign was only made for 4 years.
