Sorry for what is a real newbie question. I am getting ready to sand blast the frame pipes. Two of the frame pipes have bends in them approximately 18" from the bottom while one is straight. I noticed this when I took it apart and noted where the bent ones were. The skins aren't damaged like something ran into it. I would think that all of the frame pipes should straight. I thought I would ask before I start bending them. Am I correct?

Thanks
Ron

I have to go look again, but I know they can't be perfectly straight, or it wouldn't go together. I forget just where the bends are, but I have one with the skins off, out at the farm. I'll try and get some pictures for you.

The Wayne 615 that I am currently working on has two bent support pipes and one straight. The pump unit would be located between the two bent pipes.

Thanks everyone. The pump is not in the greatest shape and wasn't totally together when I got it. It seems to be fighting me at every turn.

Here is a good shot of a 615 frame that is together during restoration on our web site.
Hope it helps.

I think we have had over 40 of the 615's over the years and they all have had pipes that are bent to accommodate the shape of the pump and the attaching hardware.
They are still fairly common in our area. Great pump to restore. I wish we had taken more pictures years ago.
Good luck.
