That is super cool! What would you use to write on the glass...maybe a grease pencil?

Very neat! The electric cord looks like it's been napping for quite awhile too. You might want to replace it. Great piece.

Yep, looks like grease pencil would be easiest. What's on there now are stickers of some sort
