Ive had many chances over the years, to buy an old North Dakota highway sign with the embossed Indian Head, and I always passed because they were either too expensive, or they were too rough!
My brother-in-law has had a super nice one for about 5 years and he has always known that I wanted it, but wouldn't sell it to me. The time finally came when he spotted a sign in my shop that he really wanted, and the bartering was ON!
We spent the last several months haggling over values and finally agreed to do a swap! He brought it over last week while he was here for an auction and I was happily looking for a spot to put it in my shop, when it disappeared!
Before I could even ask the Warden where she put it, I happened to walk thru the garage, and there it was! SCREWED TO THE WALL! Right next to the old brass padlock she bought at a different auction. I guess I still get to enjoy it, it just won't be hanging in my shop! LOL

Can't improve on the ND sign!! Never seen the Chisholm Trail sign, Love It!!

One of the vendors at Iowa Gas had 4 of the Chisolm Trail signs a few years back and I picked out the best one and brought it home!

That is the nicest SR ND I have seen! Great addition! The Chisolm is sweet as well. Thanks for sharing.

Insurance Co sign and Manitoba License plates

The Rose Clipper Plow sign is my new jewel in my collection. I'd been trying to buy it since my junior year of high school. The owner liked it where it was hanging, and wouldn't sell. Fast forward 5-6 years, a 3 day auction happened, where after a stiff bidding, I brought her home! Circa 1890-1900 wood, sand paint, and crushed glass on the letters! Made by Vulcan Plow of Evansville, IN.




Also got Paul Bunyans Levi's! They're store displays from 1966!


20" tall glass Coca Cola bottle with Dec. 25, 1923 patent date! I believe they were sent to bottlers for display purposes.

Did not buy much at the CTO show but when I got to the flea market the next day,I picked up a few things. A friend at the flea market told me about the large two sided cigarette sign at a different market, so I went to look at it and bought it.
