Now we're talkin'!!! Your other location have been nice, but looking this up on Google maps, the Pompton Elks lodge is by far the best yet! What a river front view!
Its feeling like shades of the Oil City show, with such nice scenery!
Thanks Luke, yes it's more picturesque than the former place.
There's a launch nearby where you can drop a canoe or kayak and paddle the lake/Ramapo River down to the Pompton Falls.
Hope you guys can make it down again this year to the show.
I will be there Ed. I got the form and will be mailing in a check this weekend
OK Jonathan thats great.
If anyone else needs a vendor form, PM or email me and I'll get one out to you.
Near to the show(next town over), the Holiday Inn Express, 303 Union Ave., Haskell, NJ 07420, 973-839-4405 is offering a reduced room rate for show attendees. Hi-- I will be there - set up inside-- some nice quarts-- few oil bottles-- good selection of hard to Find Nice GM cans-- plus signs etc--stop and say hello-- thanks don raleigh
I will be set up outside with mostly signs but a few odds and ends. I will have a pretty rare Coca Cola item, an original 11' tall sign...two 4' Coke buttons on an original pole.
OK guys sounds good. I was up to the Elks today. They are looking forward to the show too. Most of the snow there has melted. 10 days to go!
I cant wait. I am currently organizing my stuff. I'm bringing a perfect red Pemco Island light and a sweet Town Talk Oil bottle from a small chain of stations in Michigan. These are kinda scarce. Also bringing some other oil bottles and my usual large supply of paper items (blotters, matchbook covers, post card) and smalls (water bibb, name badge/service pins, 1 lb grease cans, plastic car models and of course the last few remaining catalog racks). John
Looking forward to seeing everyone. Will be bringing signs and cans. Have some different postcards/blotters/tags and other small items. Lenny

Some new vendors signed up this year, including a few guys who never set up at a show before, someone liquidating a 40 year Texaco collection, and a lady selling a tobacciana collection.
Posted some photos in For Sale category of sign "rings" and oil dispensers I'm bringing.
Added to the selection of paper items I'll be bringing to the show. Postcards/blotters etc. Picture under - For Sale (unpriced) Thanks.
Hi-- keep in mind that most Vendors are also collectors-- If you have a few extras bring them along-- always willing to buy-- trade etc-- I am also looking for old speed equipment from 40s-50s-60s-- thanks don look me up Im right inside front door-- thanks Don
Don is right. Among the oil bottles I am bringing is a rack (hold 8 bottles) of 6 Havoline bottles for sale but I would just as well trade them for Sunoco bottles. For a collector trading is just as fun as selling. John
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Bring some embossed picnic coolers!
Clear and sunny for the show tomorrow. Have a few last minute vendors coming in- signs, Coke machine, etc.
Here's a few signs I added to the load, along with a couple farm pumps and Gilbarco Calcometer. See you there.
.
I am coming to the show. Looking for any old spray paint cans or signs people may have. Message me if you are bringing any.
ed nice show and location very good foot traffic good job thanks mike
Great Show today after getting blasted with 4" of snow again, it was nice to see Bare Ground in Jersey along with all the Familiar Faces walking about!
Agreed, nice job Ed. I always enjoy seeing some of the friends I've made since starting in the hobby...thanks.
Love the show, just what I needed to shake the winter blues. Glad to chat with alot of people, see some people I know and meet new people. Great job ED.
...let's see some photos!!
Ed said he was going to a concert last night, and photos would be posted this evening..
Yes, front row for Suzy Bogguss-excellent performance.
I'll try to get some photos up tomorrow. In the meantime, here's a link (with his permission) to about 300 pictures that Big Al took.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I appreciate all the oldgassers that came to vend or shop. Especially the outdoor guys that tolerated the chilly weather.
I think the new venue worked out well, and we will likely return there in 2016 with a few improvements.
We had folks from upstate NY, Long Island, Staten Island , south Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont. Here are some comments we received on the door prize entries:
"great show, can't wait for next year"
"Fun !!"
"Really well done"
"Nice show"
"great time"
"great show Ed, loved it"
"very good job"
"GREAT SHOW ! Please send table info for next one"

"Very organized and enjoyable. Friendly vendors with lots to look at"
"glad I checked it out- will def return"
"nice job with show"
"Nice cross section of items, picked up some great plates at reasonable prices"
" nice show we will come again"
"good show good stuff"
and this email received today-"I wanted to email you to say my wife and I had a real nice time at your show Sunday. I liked the setting in the new hall. Lots of friendly people. The items I bought will be good additions to my collection. Again...great show Sunday."
A photograph of a buyer checking out signs made the county newspaper here today.
This year was easily the best Metro Petro yet! The setting was very scenic, with the riverfront view, was easy to find off the interstate, had a full service kitchen and bar open during event hours, was just truly a great set up! I sold more there than I have at a gas bash in a long time!! Add in quality vendors, and ample parking, and you have a show that could teach some other meets a thing or two..
GREAT EVENT ED!!!
.
Another great show Ed, Thanks
