Hello All,
Well my Mom always wanted a Rainbow inside her house=) Wayne 70 rust free pump that has been in Spokane it's whole life. Original brand unknown. Special thanks to the following people. Tim at T-Ways for the decals and BEAUTIFUL ad glass, Mike Salama for the lenses and Derek at RUSTORATIONINC.COM for restoring this beauty to better than new condition!!! If anyone needs a pump restored, Derek is your guy!!! Derek painstakingly took the time to make the repo globe a jeweled body globe. Thanks to all!!!!
Looks great Andrew! Very nice to see an unusual brand, Texaco, Mobil get kind of boring after a while in my opinion. Cool decals and ad glass too. Just noticed the jeweled body, nice!
Thanks Paul!! I appreciate it. I know a jeweled globe would be for an earlier era pump, but making it Rainbow in thought what the heck=)
That is a gorgeous looking pump! I know it is from a completely different era, but the design of the globe is reminiscent of the early 70's Peter Max style. Again, a beautiful pump in a striking paint scheme.
that pops - definitely a eye catcher .. ...
I think I saw that pump in the original Willy Wonka movie... Nice work! As Paul mentioned, it's nice to see something different!
Thank you ALL!! You are very kind. I really appreciate the vendors that sell parts for our pumps. All the parts on this pump are original to the pump besides the hose, wiring, decals, ad glass and globe. The inside looks just as nice as the outside. Again, many thanks to everyong involved. Jim at T-Ways does great work recreating ad glass. Thanks Derek at RUSTORATIONINC.com
Well done! A masterpiece.
Looks great!! Rainbow, home grown Wa. state Brand
If one else has a pump restored to Rainbow gas would you plz post a pic. My mom would love to see pics of other Rainbow pumps. Thanks!!
I've gathered a bunch of pics of unrestored, original Rainbow pumps that I could send if she is interested???
Dave,
So kind of you. i do have the old black and white pics that you sent me in the past. I think she is wanting to see the colors that people have restored their rainbow pumps=)
Thanks Dave!!!!!! You are a great guy=)
This is why most of those are faded jade green.
This is the inside of a older True's oil co map.
I want to again thank the many people that have given such kind compliments about the Rainbow pump. Many Many Many thanks to Derek Sprague at rustorationinc.com, Jim at T-Ways for the decals and custom ad glass, and Mike Salama for the globe lenses. Also a special shoutout to Dave Man-Cave-Shoppe with his knowledge and willingness to share his pics and info about the Rainbow brand. Without these folks this pump wouldn't look so nice. Thanks guys!!!!!
