Has anyone seen this sign or know anything about it? Sign is 24” in diameter, single sided steel and painted, not porcelain. The stand does not have any markings. I got it an auto parts swap meet about 25 years ago...thanks for any help!

Thanks Wes - that confirms my suspicions. I seem to remember reading in PCM years ago that Sinclair never made a round sign like this. Also could never find anything doing internet research. Wish I would have learned about this site along time ago - you guys are a wealth of knowledge!

Also.... almost every single curb sign ever made was double sided. They were meant to be placed by the curb, where both directions of traffic could see them. A one-sided curb sign is a red flag.

[Now also keep in mind when buying - once in a great while an original single-sided sign may be thrown in a curb sign that wasn’t meant to be..... so it’s tough In today’s market, now-a-days you have to ask a friend or Old Gasser if you’re unsure.] smile

Thanks Speedracer - it certainly makes sense about the need for having a curb sign to be double sided. I bought this sign early on in my collecting and learned later on about repops and fakes. Guessing the stand and rings are reproduced as well?
