Hi All.

What do you consider the best reference books for a newcomer to this world of Pumps, Lubesters and signs?

Thanks

Andrew
It wont be all in one book. For pumps get a copy of Jack Sims book, he has three volumes out. I would get volume 3 as it is updated from the first two.

Signs I would recommend the two by Dan Matthews. He is also working on a third one due out soon hopefully. Books one and two are completely different.

A lot of other sign books are out there. Do not buy them as a price guide because sign prices are strong right now, the books will not be accurate for pricing but will show which ones are more desirable to an extent. Watch out for fake, fantasy, repaired or touched up signs. Buy the best quality you can.

You didn't ask but for gas pump globes get the CD by Scott Benjamin and Wayne Henderson. A ton of info on globes and company histories. They also have several books out on individual company's showing globes, cans, signs and smalls.
