Growing up here in SE Washington State, I have driven by a particular shed 1000's of times (and I have known the farmer since the early 1960's)...little did I know what he had in that shed till the other day.

We got to talking and I told him I was always looking for old gas pumps and he told me that the old shed on his property was going to be torn down soon and that there was an old gas pump in the shed that had been there since about 1947 or there abouts and was used up till about 1990. He said if I wanted it to get it out of there.

So I went and looked at it and acquired it.

It is a Bennet but not sure of the model yet. Outside skins are very nice, original Ad Glass is Cheveron.

Will get the rest today.

Goes to prove you never know just what the heck might be in some old building that YOU yourself have passed many, many times over the years.

Nice find Pluck!
Did he have a '29 Model A Ford to go with it?

If it has ad glass and dates to about 1947, it is probably a 300, 500, 700 or 900 series pumps.

The Bennett section of my website shows pictures of all of them, here is the address: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/bennett%20pump.htm

Feel free to use any one of the pictures.

Here's a Bennett I found in a shed also on your side of the state.
The couple had turned their barn into an antique store and I just asked if they might have any gas station stuff and that is when they showed me the pump.
It took a few years, but I finally did end up with it.

Jack,

Thank you.

It is a Bennett 371 with ad glass. I was told it is 1939 according to the data on the data plate.
