Just trying to get more OldGas members involved who are sitting on the outside just kind of watching.
I will send absolutely free all 12 issues of the 2008 Petroleum Collectable Monthly magazine to the winner who posts on this thread.
It doesn't matter what part of the world you are in.
This is what it takes to win:
1. You are a member of OG.
2, The post on this thread will be your very first one. (You cannot have posted on any previous threads).
3, You have the earliest member number.
The contest will end at 6pm. Pacific time Friday March 11.
Thanks,
Excellent idea. Most don't take the time to respond or get involved and this site IS the site for relevant data about the hobby. You get back what you put in. Thanks,Dave
That didn't work out too well, so how about the first one who posts on here and it is there first post on OldGas will get the magazines.
Doesn't matter how long you have been a member.
Thanks,
Def shows some guys need to post things other than " items wanted " . I looked thru a few guys posts and some have little to offer except " items wanted " and "Bump" . A big thanks to the guys who post helpful and cool stuff .
This is my first post to a thread. I did post an introduction thread of my own this morning. Just joined yesterday. Glad to be aboard with others who share this passion.
Capevettes close enough for me and welcome to OldGas.
Just pm me your mailing address and I'll get the magazines in the mail to you the first part of the week.

Thank you very much Bob. PM sent
Bob, I received the magazines yesterday. I am really enjoying them. It's giving me some ideas for my garage. My wife isn't too thrilled about that, but I am.
Thanks very much.
Paul
As a newer guy to the hobby and this website I am so glad to see old time members reach out to new members. I do lurk on this site almost daily to get an education. Posting can be pretty intimidating. Sometimes it feels like the nerd trying to sit at the cool kids table.
Glad you got them Paul.
I've got 5 older PCM's and 5 older CTO's for the next lurker with less than 10 previous posts who posts on this thread.
They will be sent to you absolutely free.
Or you could go to the for sale section and pay $7 apiece for some older CTO's.
Lurker, guilty as charged.
This would be my 4th post, I think.
Mike
I live in Luxembourg, Europe, where I am probably the ONLY gas geek. I have lurked here for a decade, occasionally posting, mainly questions as I am a newbie...
I flew to Seattle some years ago to attend one of the Don Beaver SeaBash events (cool!) and took bottles of Luxembourgish champagne for tasting (a few wives who attended seemd to like that part more than the pre-war visibles).
For years I wanted an airmeter for my garage, and found one last year in canada, via ebay. Had it shipped to NH where a friend held on to it until I visited. I took the meter to pieces in the hotel room and packed it equally between three suitcases- still made 49.5 lbs each case. Jus' smiled at the customs guys...lol.
So, I start restoring my Gilbarco with the ECO internals and shot-lengthener, paint the panels in Sunoco, and decide to post a picture of the work in progress- and THAT post, ladies and gentlemen, was POST NUMBER TEN! DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
regards from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
