In recent months while staying home a lot, I've gone through boxes in my collection stash that haven't been opened for at least a decade. I bought a Johnny Service gas station and body shop playset over 15 years ago. The tow truck in the set was busted up and crudely repainted. I decided to improve on that somehow. I found a COE trash truck toy at a flea market that was about the right scale size 1/18.

I salvaged the tow winch boom off the old truck and adapted it onto the back of the trash truck frame with a little aluminum diamond plate, screws and glue.

I put my Johnny Service body shop and gas station sets on shelves in my petro room but they were kind of in a shadow of the shelves above. My full time decor advisor suggested that I put in some under cabinet lights like I used in our kitchen. That made a huge difference in how the display looked.
